We are proud to support National Carers Week 2025

The theme of this year’s National Carers Week is “Caring About Equality”, we want to share our appreciation and thank all the amazing carers out there for the invaluable care and support that they provide to the vulnerable children and adults in our community. Without carers, not only would our Health and Social Care systems be affected, but the lives of our vulnerable community and their families would be seriously impacted.

But did you know that we can help you help your client or loved one?

Are you a carer and have noticed that your client or resident is struggling to manage their money? Maybe you’re a carer to a loved one and no longer want the extra responsibility of managing your loved one’s financial affairs? Or have you simply noticed your loved one needing a little extra help with their finances? Our Court of Protection Team can help you work out the best way forward.

Whether you’re a family member, friend or professional care worker, carers often have a deep understanding of the person they’re supporting – their routines, preferences and personal history. This makes carers incredibly important when it comes to Court of Protection cases. Your insights help ensure that the decisions made truly reflect what’s best for the individual involved.

Carers bring thoughtful, compassionate and detailed knowledge to the table. You’re not just helping out, you play a key role in making the system work fairly and effectively. It’s important that your voice is heard in the process, whilst also making sure everything stays transparent and free from conflicts of interest. After all, the goal is to make the right decisions for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

Our Court of Protection Team are here to help support you. Please do get in touch on 01793 522688 or cop@fsmsolicitors.co.uk
