Nigel qualified as a teacher 40 years ago but after two years of teaching he retrained and qualified as a solicitor. He set up his own practice in 1982, and in 1998 his firm merged with Sylvester Mackett where he became senior partner ten years later.
Nigel has very wide knowledge and experience of many areas of the law. However, during the last 14 years he has dealt exclusively with matrimonial matters, which have been his particular area of interest and expertise throughout his career.
He deals with all types of family work, and wherever possible does all court advocacy work for a case himself. He has been a Resolution Accredited Specialist, a qualified Collaborative Lawyer since 2006 and a qualified Mediator since 2012. Nigel has completed several professional development courses in family law.
Nigel’s leisure time is largely taken up with trying to keep his (small) smallholding in some sort of order whatever the weather and time of year.
