As a Chartered Legal Executive in our Wills, Trusts and Probate department in Malmesbury, my work includes dealing with estates, both testate and intestate, as well as Wills and Powers of Attorney.
I am a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, a member of STEP and The Association of Lifetime Lawyers and have specialised in Private Client work for over thirty years.
Personable and practical in my approach, I enjoy getting to know my clients and what is important to them, while putting them at ease during difficult times.
My practice areas include:
•Estate Administration
•Intestacy matters
•Wills
•Powers of Attorney
•Lifetime planning
By providing practical and reassuring support, I help clients feel understood while guiding them through sensitive or complex situations with clarity and care.
Examples of my work:
•I administered the estates of various family members who sadly passed away within a short period of time of each other, restructuring the estates with Deeds of Variation to secure an inheritance tax saving of over £150,000.
•Helping a client plan for the future after a medical diagnosis, putting in place an urgent Will and Letter of Wishes together with various Powers of Attorney to cover their complex needs.
•I administered the estate of an insolvent client, working with one relative and tracing numerous other relatives across the world. Before dealing with the significant estate and inheritance tax liability and distributing the residue in accordance with the rules of intestacy.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, our dog and our friends. Whether that’s in the countryside (sometimes with our vintage tractor) or walking on our favourite beaches. I also enjoy music and live events and am passionate about horses and riding.
