Partner, Solicitor and Head of Commercial Property
Department & Location: Commercial Property, Trowbridge

As a Commercial Property specialist, I help clients navigate the complexities of commercial property and business.

Having qualified as a Solicitor in 2000, I joined FSM in Trowbridge in 2001. Since then I’ve built up over twenty years’ of experience advising on a wide range of commercial property matters.

My practice areas include:

  • The sale, purchase and leasing of commercial premises.
  • Advising on lease surrenders, easements and deeds of easement.
  • Option agreements, land promotion contracts and overage agreements.

I’m known for my thorough approach and for providing practical, pragmatic one to one advice and can easily be contacted for in person meetings, telephone calls and online Teams meetings.

Examples of my work:

  • I have supported numerous clients on complex property purchases, identifying problems with the legal title and providing solutions either by setting out the steps required to fix defects or by obtaining insurance where it was not possible or practical to fix the underlying issue.
  • I regularly act for Landlords and Tenants in the preparation and approval of new leases and lease renewals, advising clients on the key lease terms and conditions and what they mean in practice.
  • I have acted in the sale of large multimillion pound parcels of development land, from receipt of Heads of Terms through to putting in place Option Agreements and Land Promotion Agreements and ultimately to completion of the sales.

Outside of work I enjoy the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and, whenever possible, exploring the high fells of the Lake District.
