About Anna:

Anna is a former lawyer with 11 years of experience working in family law.  Anna became a full time Family Mediator after seeing the benefits mediation can bring to families following relationship breakdown and is currently working towards professional accreditation in mediation.

Although convinced of the benefits of mediation for suitable separating couples, Anna aims to assist couples to avoid what most people find are emotionally damaging, expensive and time consuming court proceedings, where this is appropriate, by pointing them towards the form of Non-Court Dispute Resolution that best suits them, whether or not that is mediation.

Before becoming a family solicitor Anna trained as a Speech Therapist and, after qualifying, worked for a time both directly with children and adults with learning difficulties, and with their educational and family support networks.  Anna feels that her background in working with people with various communication difficulties benefits her mediation practice.

Having also worked in both primary and secondary schools, with children and young people and their families, Anna is keen on ensuring that mediation participants focus on the needs of their children in mediation.

Anna is a qualified parenting course facilitator and has trained in Mental Health First Aid with both adults and children.
