Our charity of the year – 2018
Each year our staff nominate a charity of the year, on which we focus all fundraising efforts. For 2018 we have chosen Wiltshire Mind.
About Wiltshire Mind
Wiltshire Mind is affiliated with the national organisation “Mind” but is totally unfunded. Wiltshire Mind does not receive any national or NHS funding – despite around 60% of the people it helps being referred by NHS professionals. It runs counselling, support groups, corporate training sessions, a charity shop (Melksham) and a telephone service for those struggling with mental health issues.
The charity is very local to FSM, with peer support groups in Trowbridge, Melksham, Chippenham, Salisbury, Malmesbury and Devizes.
Carolyn Beale, Chief Executive of Wiltshire Mind commented “All of us at Wiltshire Mind are delighted that we have been selected as Forrester Sylvester Mackett’s 2018 charity of the year. We are a small, local and totally unfunded charity, so a business such as this choosing to support us really does make a huge difference. We cannot continue to give Wiltshire residents the support we currently offer without the financial backing of local businesses.”
